This series is devoted to assessing developments in major aspects of contemporary biblical scholarship.
The Senior Editor is Alan J. Hauser, the other General Editors being Scot McKnight and Jonathan Klawans.
Among volumes are:
A three-volume set on feminist biblical criticism of the Hebrew Bible. The first volume treats the history of the development, and the current practice, of feminist biblical criticism, focusing on the period from 1978 to 2006. The second volume treats women's contextual readings of the Hebrew Bible. The third volume will discuss feminist influence on biblical methodology. Susanne Scholz is the editor of these volumes.
A compendium of articles on contemporary research on Jesus and the gospels. This volume, which will contain an extensive bibliography, will be edited by Scot McKnight.
A collection of articles on Religion and Violence: The Biblical Heritage, addressing both Jewish and Christian biblical and postbiblical texts on the theme. Edited by Jonathan Klawans.
