Vanessa R. Sasson
Vanessa Rebecca Sasson is Professor of Religious Studies, Marionopolis College, Montreal, and Lecturer in Religious Studies, McGill University.

Vanessa Sasson is a professor of Comparative Religion in the Liberal Arts Department of Marianopolis College. She is also a lecturer in Comparative Religion at McGill University, and a Research Associate in Near Eastern Studies at the University of the Free State, South Africa. Her research today continues to be focused on mythology, and fetal and birth narratives in particular. Sasson is involved in various academic interfaith projects, both locally in Montreal and internationally. She is currently a member of the Elijah Interfaith Institute Think Tank, as well as the Director of the Elijah Educational Program.

Outside of her academic life, she can be found in the boxing ring, where she has been for nearly a decade.
